ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective a specially compounded topical anesthetic, called BLT (which contains benzocaine, lidocaine, and tetracaine), is compared to a standard 4% lidocaine cream in relieving pain during certain dermatological procedures like Intense Pulse Light (IPL), Pulse Dye Laser (PDL), and microneedling. The goal is to find out which option works better to help patients feel more comfortable during these treatments.
To be eligible to participate, you need to be between 18 and 75 years old and have a scheduled appointment for one of the procedures mentioned above. However, if you have a history of allergies to any of the anesthetics being tested, certain medical conditions like heart or respiratory issues, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you won't be able to join the study. If you participate, you can expect to apply either the BLT or the 4% lidocaine cream before your procedure and then share your experience regarding pain relief. This trial is currently looking for participants, so it could be a good opportunity if you are interested in helping improve pain management options for future patients.
