ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two new types of transparent face masks called the SEEUS-95 mask and the CrystalGuard mask. These masks are designed to fit like N-95 masks, which are known for their ability to filter out harmful particles, while also being see-through. This is important because many people find it difficult to communicate or express emotions when wearing traditional opaque masks. The goal of the study is to see if these transparent masks are comfortable and acceptable for people to wear, especially during respiratory illnesses like COVID-19.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have no history of certain lung diseases, like asthma or emphysema. You also should not have significant facial hair that would affect how the mask fits. If you join the trial, you can expect to wear one of the new masks and provide feedback on how it feels and performs. This study aims to help improve mask options for everyone, especially for those who rely on lip-reading or facial expressions for communication.
