ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying different ways to take impressions (or molds) of the mouth for patients who have dental implants but have lost all their teeth in either the upper or lower jaw. The researchers want to compare three methods: traditional impressions, digital scans using a special camera, and a newer technique called photogrammetry, which uses photos to create a 3D model. The main goal is to see which method gives the most accurate results and to find out how satisfied patients are with each of these techniques.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old and have a completely toothless upper or lower jaw with 4 to 8 implants that are securely integrated into the bone. Unfortunately, if you have implants from different brands or if you still have some natural teeth, you won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you will have impressions taken twice using each of the three methods, and this will help researchers understand which technique works best for future dental treatments. Your feedback on your experience will also be important to help improve patient care.
