ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how using live video calls can help emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and neurologists work together to assess patients who may be having a stroke. By connecting via video, the neurologist can guide the EMTs in using a specific stroke assessment tool to evaluate the patient more accurately before they arrive at the hospital. This study aims to see if this approach can improve the way strokes are identified and treated quickly.
To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and have symptoms of a stroke that started within the last 24 hours. Unfortunately, if your symptoms began more than 24 hours ago, or if you are unconscious, you would not be eligible for this study. If you do take part, you can expect to be assessed by trained EMTs who will use video technology to connect with a neurologist, helping to ensure you receive timely and appropriate care. The trial is currently recruiting participants, so if you or someone you know might be interested, it could be a valuable opportunity to help improve stroke care.
