ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a technique called Pranic healing to see if it can help reduce pain and improve breathing and heart rates in children during a common medical procedure called venipuncture, which is when blood is drawn. The study will compare the effects of Pranic healing to regular care to find out if it makes a difference in how much pain children feel and how their bodies respond during and after the procedure.
To be eligible for the study, children aged 6 to 12 who experience pain during venipuncture can participate, as long as they and their families agree to take part and the child doesn’t have any significant mental health issues. Also, they shouldn’t have taken pain relievers like acetaminophen the night before. Participants will either receive Pranic healing or standard care, and their pain levels along with some important health measurements, like heart rate and breathing rate, will be recorded throughout the process. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to help us understand if Pranic healing can make this experience easier for children.
