ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is designed to compare two types of anesthesia—Target Controlled Infusion Anesthesia and Inhalation Anesthesia—specifically for children undergoing laparoscopic surgeries, like inguinal hernia repair. The researchers want to see which method is safer and more effective for kids aged 3 to 12 years old who weigh over 10 kilograms and are otherwise healthy.
If your child qualifies for this study, they will be involved in a process that helps doctors understand how different anesthesia options work during surgery. Participants will receive either type of anesthesia and will be monitored closely to ensure their safety. It’s important to note that children with certain health conditions, classified as ASA III or higher, will not be eligible for this trial. This study is currently not recruiting participants yet, but it aims to gather valuable information that could improve anesthesia care for children in the future.
