ClinConnect Summary
The DAISY trial is studying a new automated system designed to help patients in the Emergency Department (ED) quickly assess their health. This system, called DAISY, uses a robot and a touchscreen to ask patients questions, similar to what a nurse or doctor would do. It also includes devices like a blood pressure monitor and thermometer that patients can use to provide important health information. The goal of the trial is to see how well patients can interact with DAISY and if this technology can help doctors and nurses by saving time and improving the experience for patients.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and able to understand and complete the study requirements. You should be able to use the automated system, either on your own or with help from a caregiver. However, if you're less than 18, too unwell, or need immediate medical attention, you won't be able to join. During the study, participants will have the chance to use the DAISY system and provide feedback on their experience, which will help researchers understand its effectiveness and how to improve patient care in the ED.
