ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a tool called the Expanded Rehabilitation Complexity Scale (RCS), which helps healthcare providers understand how much rehabilitation support a patient may need after a stroke. The RCS can identify patients who might struggle to manage at home or in the community due to ongoing medical needs. It’s also useful for spotting serious health issues that can arise during rehabilitation, like infections, which may require extra care and support.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 60 and 121 years old and recovering from a subacute stroke while in a palliative care unit. Patients who are stable and can participate will be recruited, while those needing intensive care will not be included. If you join the trial, you’ll be contributing to important research that could improve rehabilitation services for stroke patients, helping to ensure they receive the right level of care during their recovery.
