ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new program called the Artificial Intelligence Family Involvement Generative Agent (AIFIGA) that aims to improve communication and health outcomes for nursing home residents, their families, and the nursing staff. The program will be developed over 18 months by gathering insights from families and staff about their communication experiences, especially after the challenges posed by COVID-19. After the program is created, another 18 months will be spent evaluating how well it works in improving the health and well-being of everyone involved.
To participate, residents need to be at least 60 years old, and their family members must be at least 20 years old. Both the resident and family should be able to communicate in Mandarin or Taiwanese, and they must agree to take part in the study. Additionally, the nursing staff working in the nursing homes will be invited to join. Participants can expect to be divided into two groups: one will use the AIFIGA program for three months, while the other will continue with regular care without the program. This study is important as it seeks to enhance the quality of life for residents and improve relationships between families and nursing staff.
