ClinConnect Summary

The Knee-Hip Surgery Wait-list Support Program is a study designed to help patients prepare for knee or hip surgery. The goal is to create a support program that identifies factors that might lead to complications after surgery and suggests ways to improve those factors before the operation. Researchers want to find out if this program is effective and whether it can help improve important health measures, like blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and physical fitness.

To participate in this study, you need to be on the waiting list for total hip or knee surgery at Valley Regional Hospital, be at least 18 years old, and able to give your consent. The program will include education about your health, guidance on navigating medical services, and exercise to improve your strength and fitness. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but if you meet the criteria, it could be a valuable opportunity to enhance your health before surgery.
