ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a live group music therapy session on reducing anxiety and improving well-being in adult cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy. Many patients experience high levels of anxiety during this treatment, which can affect their overall health and happiness. The trial will compare two groups: one group will receive their usual care plus a music therapy session, while the other group will only receive the usual care. Researchers will measure anxiety and well-being before and after the sessions to see if music therapy makes a difference.
To participate in this study, patients must be adults over 18 years old, currently receiving chemotherapy at specific clinics, and have never had music therapy before. They should also be able to read and understand questionnaires. However, those with hearing problems or who do not wish to take part will not be included. The goal of this trial is to enhance the emotional and psychological health of patients, ultimately improving their quality of care during a challenging time.
