ClinConnect Summary
The RESEARCH-ILD trial is studying a type of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to see how it can help people with interstitial lung disease (ILD). This condition affects the lungs and makes it hard to breathe. The study aims to include at least 5,000 patients and will follow them for at least five years to learn more about the different types of ILD, how the disease progresses, and how effective TCM treatments are in the real world.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of ILD. It's important that you can provide consent on your own. However, if your ILD is caused by a known infection that goes away quickly with treatment, you won't be eligible to join. Participants can expect to be part of a large study that aims to improve understanding and treatment options for ILD, while helping researchers learn how TCM might play a role in managing this condition.
