ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving the training for healthcare providers in Nepal to better manage serious conditions that can occur during and after childbirth, specifically postpartum hemorrhage (excessive bleeding) and birth asphyxia (when a baby doesn’t breathe properly at birth). The study aims to set up simulation labs in seven hospitals where healthcare staff can practice their skills in a safe environment. By providing hands-on training, the goal is to enhance the knowledge and abilities of medical staff to ensure better care for mothers and newborns.
Women who have recently given birth at the participating hospitals, as well as trained maternal and newborn health staff, may be eligible to take part in the study. Participants can expect to have their health outcomes monitored before and after the training, which will help researchers evaluate how effective the new training methods are in improving care. The study is currently recruiting participants and will ensure that everyone involved understands what the study entails and provides their consent before participating.
