ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called iontophoresis, which uses a small electrical current to help deliver magnesium sulfate to the elbow area. The goal is to see if this treatment can reduce pain, improve muscle strength, and enhance the ability to use the hand for people suffering from lateral epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow. This condition causes pain on the outer side of the elbow and can make everyday activities challenging.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between 20 and 50 years old and have experienced pain on the outside of their elbow for at least four weeks. They need to have tenderness in that area and show positive results on specific tests that check for this condition. However, individuals with certain health issues, recent treatments, or specific injuries to the elbow or surrounding areas may not qualify. Participants in the trial can expect to receive the treatment, and their progress will be monitored to understand the treatment's effectiveness. It's important to know that the trial is currently looking for more volunteers to join.
