ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Executive Function in Obese," is looking at how problems with thinking and decision-making (which we refer to as executive function) affect physical performance and overall well-being in people who are obese. The study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 to 65 who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, which classifies them as obese. There are two groups in the study: one group with higher cognitive scores (21 points and above) and another with lower scores (less than 21 points).
To be eligible for the study, participants must be willing to take part and meet the age and BMI requirements. However, certain individuals, such as those with severe mental challenges, neurological diseases, recent cancer diagnoses, or uncontrolled diabetes, cannot participate. If you join the study, you can expect to engage in activities that will help researchers understand the relationship between thinking skills and physical health in obese individuals. This trial is important because it aims to improve our understanding of how cognitive issues can impact daily life for those dealing with obesity.
