ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how high-intensity exercise combined with a special type of breathing (called hypoxia) and a supplement called taurine can affect people with obesity. Researchers want to see if these methods can improve how our cells use energy and how our bodies process food, which can help with overall health. They will compare the effects of exercising in normal air versus low-oxygen conditions and see how taurine affects the results compared to a placebo (a dummy treatment).
To participate, women aged 25 to 45 with a body mass index (BMI) between 30 and 35 are invited to join. It's important that participants are not currently on a diet, exercising regularly, or experiencing menopause. Throughout the trial, participants will engage in the same exercise program, and researchers will monitor their progress. This study aims to find effective ways to treat obesity, a significant health issue in Brazil, and help improve the well-being of those affected.
