ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how cancer education based on the Health Belief Model can improve people's knowledge about cancer and their attitudes toward getting screened for it. In this study, 78 participants will be randomly divided into two groups: one group will receive cancer education over four weeks, while the other group will not receive any special education. Both groups will answer questions about their knowledge and attitudes towards cancer screenings before and after the trial to see if the education makes a difference.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between the ages of 30 and 70, can read and write, and should not have any disabilities that would prevent them from participating. Caregivers of cancer patients are welcome to join, as long as they are not providing care to someone receiving palliative care, which is care focused on comfort rather than curing the disease. Participants can expect to complete some surveys before and after the education, helping researchers understand the impact of the educational program on their knowledge and attitudes about cancer screenings.
