ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different bowel preparation methods to see which one works better for patients getting a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is an important test that helps doctors look inside the bowel, and having a clean bowel is crucial for accurate results. The trial will compare Sennoside A+B, a laxative made from the senna plant, with a combination of sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and citric acid (referred to as PM/Ca). Both options aim to help patients clear their bowels effectively, but the study will evaluate which one is more effective and easier for patients to tolerate.
To participate in this trial, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and scheduled for an outpatient colonoscopy. They should be able to understand and agree to the study. However, people with certain health issues, such as chronic kidney failure, heart failure, or those who have had specific types of surgery, cannot take part in this study. Participants will receive one of the bowel preparation methods and will be monitored for how well it works and how they feel during the process. This trial is important because it aims to find the best option for bowel preparation, especially since the current preferred method can be expensive and may not be available to everyone.
