ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the mental health challenges faced by children and teenagers with a condition called juvenile lupus erythematosus, also known as SLE. The study aims to understand how SLE affects not only the young patients but also their caregivers. Researchers will examine different factors that might contribute to mental health issues, such as bullying, school performance, feelings of tiredness, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.
To participate in this trial, young people aged 11 to 18 who have been diagnosed with SLE for at least six months may be eligible. They will need to meet specific medical guidelines for SLE. There will also be a healthy comparison group, but participants in this group must not have any history of mental health or medical conditions and should have an intelligence score above 70. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to share their experiences and take part in assessments that will help improve understanding and support for kids with SLE and their families.
