ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how mindfulness training can help first responders, like firefighters, deal with burnout. Burnout is a state of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion caused by prolonged stress, which can affect their ability to perform their jobs. The study will assess how mindfulness practices can improve their thinking skills and emotional health.
To participate, individuals must be between 18 and 75 years old, speak English fluently, and be able to use electronic devices like computers or tablets with an internet connection. They should also be members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. However, those with recent mental health issues or hospitalizations won’t be eligible. Participants can expect to learn mindfulness techniques that may help them manage stress and improve their overall well-being. The study is currently not recruiting participants yet, so there's time to learn more before deciding to join.
