ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "HVIP Outcomes and Stakeholder Insights," is looking at a program designed to help patients who have been injured due to violence, like gunshot wounds or other forms of community violence. The goal is to understand how well this program works, what benefits it provides, and how it can be improved, by getting feedback from patients, their family members, and healthcare providers who have been involved in their care.
To participate in this study, patients need to be between 16 and 35 years old, treated for their injuries at MUSC Charleston, and in stable condition with a certain level of awareness at the time of enrollment. Family members and caregivers of these patients are also encouraged to join the study, as well as healthcare providers who have cared for patients in the past six months. Participants can expect to share their experiences and insights, which will help improve care for future patients. The study is currently recruiting participants, and it's important to note that those who are non-English speaking or have certain mental health conditions may not be eligible.
