ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how sleep affects balance and thinking skills in older adults. Researchers will track participants' sleep using wearable devices and a sleep diary over six weeks. They want to see how sleep patterns relate to everyday activities like walking and keeping balance. The study will include regular assessments of mobility, balance, and cognitive function to better understand these connections.
To join the study, participants need to be healthy older adults aged 65 and above, able to speak English, and capable of performing daily activities independently or with minimal help, like using a cane or walker. Participants will be asked to visit the University of Florida for weekly assessments. However, those with serious cognitive issues, severe sleep disorders, or certain medical conditions may not qualify for the trial. This study is currently recruiting, so it's a great opportunity for eligible individuals to contribute to important research that could improve the health and well-being of older adults.
