ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial, called the Post-Trial Tuberculosis Case Finding, is part of a larger study known as CoVPN 3008. Its main goal is to find out if there are any cases of tuberculosis (TB) among participants after the main trial has ended. Tuberculosis is a serious infection that mainly affects the lungs, and it’s important to identify and treat it early. This substudy is currently recruiting participants aged 65 to 74 who have already taken part in the CoVPN 3008 trial.

To join this substudy, participants need to be willing to sign an informed consent form, which means they understand what the study involves. They should also be open to discussing their TB status, going through some lab tests, and receiving referrals for TB care if needed. However, if a doctor believes a participant may have trouble providing blood samples, they may not be able to join the study. Overall, participants can expect to help researchers learn more about TB in people who have participated in the main trial, which could lead to better care and treatment for future patients.
