ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how a specific scoring system, called the visual mitral and tricuspid (VMT) score, relates to health outcomes in patients experiencing acute decompensated heart failure, a serious condition where the heart can't pump blood effectively. The researchers will collect data from hospital records, which includes information about the patients' health history, symptoms, lab results, and echocardiograms (ultrasound images of the heart). This information will help them understand if the VMT score can predict how well patients will do after treatment.
To be eligible for this study, participants should be between 18 and 70 years old and have a history of heart failure with a reduced ejection fraction (meaning their heart is not pumping blood as well as it should). However, patients with certain conditions, such as pulmonary hypertension or significant heart valve issues, will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to have your medical records reviewed and possibly undergo additional heart imaging. This research aims to improve care for patients with heart failure, so your involvement could contribute to better understanding and treatment options in the future.
