ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different factors, like our thoughts, social situations, and work-related issues, can affect results from a test called the Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT). The MWT is used to measure how alert someone is and is particularly important for people with conditions like narcolepsy or obstructive sleep apnea, which can cause excessive daytime sleepiness. By understanding these factors better, researchers hope to improve how we treat and manage these sleep disorders.
To join the study, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who are being referred for the MWT at the Lyon University hospital. However, individuals who cannot give their consent, have cognitive impairments, or are unable to answer the questionnaire will not be eligible. Those who participate can expect to answer questions about their psychological state, social life, and job, which will help researchers gain insights into the connections between these elements and alertness. This study is currently recruiting participants, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to take part.
