ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a serious condition called sepsis, which can happen when an infection spreads throughout the body and leads to problems with blood clotting, known as coagulopathy. The researchers want to understand how often this occurs in patients receiving critical care, what factors may predict these issues, and what the outcomes are for patients affected by sepsis. The goal is to improve the care and recovery of patients who survive sepsis, as they face increased risks of health complications even after leaving the hospital.
To participate in the study, you must be 18 years or older and be admitted to a critical care unit with sepsis between October 2024 and October 2026. Unfortunately, people under 18, those with certain severe diseases, pregnant women, or those taking blood-thinning medications cannot participate. If you qualify and choose to take part, you will help researchers learn more about this condition, which could ultimately lead to better treatments and outcomes for future patients.
