ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective training for Employment Specialists (ES) can improve job outcomes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD). Currently, there are no standard requirements for training ESs, which means their backgrounds can vary widely. The researchers want to find out if a specific online training course approved by the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) helps ESs perform better in their roles, ultimately benefiting the individuals they serve.
To participate in this study, individuals must be at least 18 years old, currently providing or planning to provide employment services to people with ID/DD, and not have taken ACRE training before. Participants will be contributing to an important effort to improve job support for individuals with disabilities. The study is currently looking for volunteers, and participants can expect to help shape the future of employment services in their communities.
