ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at the outcomes and complications of regular hemodialysis, which is a treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) whose kidneys can no longer function properly. The researchers want to understand important factors like the health problems related to the access points used for dialysis, the overall health and survival rates of patients, and how this treatment affects their quality of life over a year. The study will take place in Upper Egypt and aims to gather valuable information to improve care for patients on hemodialysis.

To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been receiving regular hemodialysis treatments—three times a week for four hours—at a clinic for at least three months. Unfortunately, if you are receiving hemodialysis at home or if your dialysis is due to reasons other than end-stage renal disease, you would not be eligible. Participants will be monitored for a year to gather data on their health and experiences during treatment. This study has not started recruiting participants yet, but it is an important step in understanding and enhancing the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis.
