ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a program called the READY to Stand (RTS) curriculum, which aims to prevent the commercial sexual exploitation of children, a serious issue that affects many young people. Over the next five years, researchers will evaluate how effective this program is in helping students. They want to see if participating in the RTS curriculum can lead to fewer cases of young people being exploited or becoming involved in dating violence and sexual violence. They also hope to encourage more students to step in and help if they see someone in a risky situation.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be in grades 9 to 12 at specific schools and need to understand spoken English. Those students who are enrolled in certain other trials won’t be able to participate. If chosen, students can expect to engage in activities designed to educate them about these important issues and empower them to make a difference in their communities. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and if successful, the findings may help spread this important program to other communities across the U.S.
