ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at ways to improve how family members of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) are recruited and kept involved in clinical studies. The researchers want to test different strategies to see which ones work best for enrolling family members and keeping them engaged throughout the study. They will examine these strategies in three ongoing studies that include family members of ICU patients. The main goals are to find out how many family members agree to participate and how many stay in the study until the end.
To be eligible for this trial, family members must have a loved one who is admitted to the ICU and expected to stay for more than 48 hours. They should be able to understand and participate in either English or French. However, if another family member is already taking part in the trial, they cannot join. Participants can expect to be randomly assigned to one of the strategies being tested and will help researchers learn how to better support families in future studies. This trial is currently looking for volunteers, and all genders and ages from 65 and up can apply.
