ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different methods of providing pain relief after laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is a minimally invasive surgery to remove the gallbladder. The two methods being studied are called the Modified Thoracoabdominal Nerve Block (M-TAPA) and the Quadratus Lumborum Block. Both methods use ultrasound to help guide the injections, but they target different areas in the body. The goal of the study is to find out which method is more effective at managing pain after surgery.
To participate in this trial, you must be an adult between the ages of 21 and 70 who is scheduled for a laparoscopic cholecystectomy and is in generally good health (specifically, classified as ASA physical status I or II). However, individuals with certain conditions, such as severe obesity or bleeding disorders, cannot participate. If you join the study, you will receive one of the two nerve blocks for pain relief, and researchers will monitor how well it works for you after your surgery. This study is currently looking for participants, so it could be a great opportunity to contribute to important research while receiving care.
