ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new type of dental device called a modified twin block appliance. The goal is to understand how this new design affects the growth and shape of the jaw and teeth, as well as the surrounding soft tissues and airways, compared to a traditional twin block appliance. The researchers also want to know how satisfied patients are with both designs.
To be eligible for the study, participants need to be boys aged 10 to 14 who have specific jaw alignment issues, known as skeletal class II, which means their lower jaw is positioned further back than normal. They should also have some crowding of their teeth but no previous orthodontic treatments or other dental health issues. If you or someone you know fits these criteria, this trial could be a chance to contribute to important research in dental growth modification. Participants will be closely monitored throughout the study, and their experiences and satisfaction will be taken into consideration.
