ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how body composition may affect the severity and recovery of patients who have had an acute stroke. Researchers want to understand if certain measurements, like muscle mass and thickness, can help predict how well patients will do when they leave the hospital and six months later. By studying these factors, the goal is to improve care for stroke patients and better understand what influences their recovery.
To take part in this study, participants must be adults aged 18 or older who have recently experienced a stroke and have had a brain MRI. They should be able to understand the guidelines for the study and agree to participate after receiving all the necessary information. However, those who are under legal protection, pregnant or breastfeeding, or have certain medical devices like a pacemaker are not eligible. Participants can expect to undergo some assessments related to their body composition, which may help doctors provide better treatment options in the future.
