ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how taking oral lactate, a substance that can be found in some foods, affects certain hormones in the gut that help control appetite and digestion. Researchers want to find out if there is a direct relationship between the amount of lactate taken and changes in gut hormones, insulin levels, and feelings of hunger. They aim to understand if taking more lactate leads to more noticeable effects on these factors.
To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 75 years old and generally healthy. If you have certain medical conditions, are taking medications, or have specific allergies, you may not be eligible. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, but once it begins, those who join will help researchers learn more about how lactate might influence metabolism and appetite. It’s important to note that participants will be required to give their consent and should be able to understand Danish.
