ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how patients' thoughts and beliefs about low back pain, along with their physical therapists' perspectives, affect the success of physical therapy treatments. If you have low back pain—pain between your lower ribs and buttocks—you may be eligible to participate. The study will include people aged 65 to 74 and those aged 21 to 914 who meet specific criteria for chronic low back pain. However, individuals who have had surgery on their lower back, are currently pregnant, or are receiving similar treatments from other healthcare providers cannot participate.
As a participant, you will receive physical therapy tailored to your needs, which may include spinal manipulation, exercises, and educational support about your condition. Both you and your physical therapist will fill out forms sharing your thoughts and beliefs about the pain and treatment. This study is currently active but not recruiting new participants. It's an opportunity to contribute to understanding how mental attitudes can impact recovery from low back pain.
