ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a test called the 6-minute pegboard ring test (6PBRT) to see if it is a good and reliable way to measure how well people with obesity can use their upper arms and hands. Obesity can lead to various health problems and makes it harder for individuals to do everyday activities. The trial aims to find out if the 6PBRT can help healthcare providers assess upper body strength and endurance in obese individuals, which is important for managing their health.
To participate in this study, individuals must be 18 years or older with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, meaning they are considered obese. They should also be able to walk on their own and be willing to volunteer for the study. However, people who are pregnant, have certain serious health conditions, or are taking specific medications cannot participate. If eligible, participants can expect to undergo the 6PBRT, which involves performing tasks with their hands and arms for six minutes. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and the findings could help improve care for individuals living with obesity.
