ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding the psychological well-being of women diagnosed with breast cancer. It aims to evaluate not just any psychological distress they might feel, but also their individual strengths and coping resources. By doing this, the study hopes to help these patients better adhere to their treatment plans and support their emotional recovery after facing cancer. The trial involves assessments at three key points: right after diagnosis, during the hospital stay for surgery, and then again nine months after treatment is completed. Participants will complete various questionnaires to help measure their emotional health and coping strategies.
To be eligible for this trial, women aged 18 and older who are preparing for surgery or other treatments for breast cancer can participate. However, individuals with severe language barriers or those unable to provide informed consent are not eligible. Participants can expect to receive psychological counseling and follow-up assessments to monitor their mental health throughout their treatment journey. This personalized approach aims to provide better support for emotional well-being during a challenging time.
