ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different treatments for improving atrophic post-acne scars, which are the sunken or pitted scars left on the skin after acne heals. The study will compare the effects of applying insulin directly to the skin versus using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), which comes from your own blood and is known for helping with healing. Both treatments will be used alongside a specialized laser treatment called fractional CO2 laser, which helps to resurface the skin.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old and have atrophic post-acne scars. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women, individuals with certain types of scars or active skin infections, and those with specific health conditions affecting the kidneys or liver will not be able to participate. The study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to provide insights into which treatment might work better for reducing the appearance of these scars. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the two treatments and be monitored for safety and effectiveness throughout the process.
