ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different methods for taking dental impressions, which are molds used to create accurate models of a patient's teeth and gums. Specifically, researchers want to compare the accuracy of a new digital scanning technique—both with and without special markers called prefabricated landmarks—to the traditional method of making impressions. The study will focus on patients who need full dental implants for their lower jaw.
To participate in this trial, you must be a non-smoking adult aged 50 to 70 who has no teeth in your lower jaw but maintains good oral hygiene. Unfortunately, if you have certain health conditions, like uncontrolled diabetes or are pregnant, you wouldn’t be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to undergo the digital scanning process, which is designed to be quick and comfortable, and help improve the way dental implants are fitted in the future. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there’s no immediate action required, but it could lead to advancements in dental care.
