ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two gentle dental treatments, Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) and the Hall Technique (HT), to see which one works better for treating cavities in young children's back teeth, called molars. These treatments are designed to be less invasive, meaning they cause less pain and discomfort compared to traditional methods. The trial aims to help reduce the number of children suffering from dental caries, or tooth decay, which is a common issue, especially in children from lower-income families.
To participate in this study, children must be between 4 and 6 years old and have cavities in their primary (baby) molars that still have healthy pulp. The trial will not include children who show signs of severe dental issues. If eligible, participants can expect to receive treatment using either ART or HT, both of which do not require painful injections and are designed to be quick and comfortable. This trial is important because it looks for effective ways to treat cavities while minimizing stress and discomfort for young patients.
