ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether a treatment called trans-spinal magnetic stimulation can help improve walking and mobility in adults who have had a stroke. The researchers want to see if this technique can make a difference in how well participants can move around and whether it has any side effects. To find out, some participants will receive the actual treatment along with treadmill training, while others will receive a similar-looking treatment that doesn’t have any real effects, also with treadmill training.
To join the trial, individuals should be between the ages of 65 and 93, have had a stroke at least six months ago, and experience difficulties with walking. However, people with metal implants in their spine or serious orthopedic issues won't be eligible. Participants can expect to take part in daily sessions for two weeks, either receiving the real treatment or the sham treatment, all while working on treadmill exercises. This study is currently looking for participants who are interested in helping researchers understand more about this potential treatment.
