ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring axial spondyloarthritis, a type of arthritis that mainly affects the spine and can cause pain and stiffness. The researchers want to understand what causes the disease to start, how it progresses over time, and how different treatments affect patients. They will focus on studying a substance in the body called prostaglandin, which may play a role in inflammation, along with other substances found in blood and urine. By doing this, the aim is to find better ways to treat and potentially prevent the disease.
To participate in this study, you need to be a newly diagnosed patient with axial spondyloarthritis who has not yet started any treatment. You should be at least 18 years old, speak Swedish, and be able to give your consent to join the study. Throughout the trial, you will be followed for one and two years after starting treatment, during which you will provide clinical information, complete questionnaires, and give blood and urine samples. This will help researchers identify specific markers that could lead to more personalized and effective treatments for axial spondyloarthritis.
