ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different ways to treat cavities in young children's back teeth, known as primary molars. The first method is called the Hall Technique, which uses preformed metal crowns without removing any decayed tooth material. The second method is the Atraumatic Restorative Technique (ART), which involves carefully removing the decayed parts of the tooth using hand instruments before filling it. The main goal of the study is to see if the Hall Technique is faster and more comfortable for children compared to ART and how each method affects how well children accept the treatment.
To be part of this trial, children must be between 4 to 6 years old, have cavities in their primary molars, and be generally healthy and cooperative. Participants will receive one of the two treatments in a single visit and will return for follow-up visits to assess how well the treatment worked and how comfortable they felt during the procedure. It's important to note that children with certain dental issues, like severe decay or pain, won't be eligible for this study. Overall, this trial aims to find the best way to treat cavities while keeping kids comfortable and happy.
