ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on finding ways to detect eating disorders early in patients who visit their general practitioners (GPs). Researchers want to see if a specific questionnaire, called the Eating Disorder Proxy Screening Tool for General Practitioner (ED-PSTGP), can effectively identify signs of eating disorders by gathering information from family members of the patients. The study will include adults aged 18 and older who are seeing a GP, as well as their family members who are at least 16 years old.
If you participate in this trial, your GP will ask you to fill out the ED-PSTGP questionnaire. If the results suggest that there may be a concern, your family member will be invited to complete additional screenings online. If necessary, they may also receive a teleconsultation with specialists and be guided to local treatment centers for further evaluation. This study aims to improve the early detection of eating disorders, which can lead to better treatment outcomes.
