ClinConnect Summary
The Move@NUS pilot study is looking to see how well a digital program can help students at the National University of Singapore become more active and improve their overall well-being. The program aims to encourage healthy habits like exercising more, getting enough sleep, and reducing time spent on smartphones for leisure. Participants will wear an Apple Watch for six months to track their movement and well-being, and they will also take short surveys about their daily activities. Additionally, the study will test a few small smartphone apps designed to motivate students to adopt healthier behaviors.
To be eligible for this study, students must be in their first year of an undergraduate degree at the university, own an Apple smartphone, and have an Apple smartwatch (Series 6/SE or newer) that they can wear continuously for the study period. Participants should also be comfortable using a smartphone app. However, pregnant individuals or those planning to be out of the country for more than six weeks during the semester cannot participate. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it represents an exciting opportunity for students to improve their health while being part of an innovative research project.
