ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different methods of pain relief for patients undergoing a specific type of surgery called thoracoscopic surgery, which involves making small cuts in the chest. The trial compares four different techniques for blocking pain in the nerves around the chest area, including ultrasound-guided nerve blocks and a combination of methods. The goal is to find out which technique works best to manage pain after the surgery.
To be eligible for this study, participants need to be between 18 to 70 years old and in generally good health, specifically classified as ASA Grade I-II, which means they have no serious health issues. They must also be undergoing double-hole thoracic surgery and agree to take part in the study by signing a consent form. Participants can expect to receive one of the pain relief methods being tested and will be monitored for how well it helps with postoperative pain. It’s important to note that those with certain health conditions or allergies to the anesthetics will not be able to participate.
