ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how aromatherapy—using pleasant scents from essential oils—can help reduce dental anxiety and pain for patients who are visiting a dentist for the first time. The goal is to see if these soothing smells can make the experience less stressful for those who may feel nervous about dental treatments like fillings, extractions, or root canals.
To participate in this study, you must be someone who has never been to a dental clinic before and needs some form of dental treatment. You should be able to understand what the study is about and agree to take part. However, if you have allergies to the essential oils being used, have certain medical conditions, or are pregnant, you may not be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to experience aromatherapy during your dental visit and take part in follow-up assessments to see how it affected your anxiety and pain levels. The trial is not yet recruiting, so keep an eye out if you think you might be interested!
