ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a specific technique called ultrasound-guided maxillary nerve block, which is used to manage pain during and after surgeries on the middle part of the face. The researchers want to find out how different amounts of medication (2 to 5 ml) injected into a certain area of the face affect the spread of the medicine and how well it numbs not just the maxillary nerve but also the nearby mandibular nerve. This study hopes to improve pain management techniques and ensure that patients experience less discomfort after their surgeries.
Currently, the trial is not yet recruiting participants, and it is looking for embalmed cadaver specimens without any known maxillary disease. This means that only certain types of specimens will be included to ensure accurate results. If you’re interested in this study or know someone who might be involved, it’s important to keep an eye out for updates as the trial progresses.
