ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at a special imaging technique called PETMRI to understand chronic pain that comes from issues with the spinal or peripheral nerves. The goal is to compare how a radioactive substance called \[18F\]FTC-146 behaves in people who have chronic pain with those who are healthy. Researchers want to see if they can identify painful nerve tumors (called schwannomas) from non-painful ones using this imaging. They will also examine if the results from the scans are consistent and if there are changes in the scans after treatment, in relation to how much pain the patients report.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old. If you're a healthy volunteer, you should not have any chronic pain or be on pain medication. For those with chronic pain, it should be lasting more than two months and rated at least a 4 out of 10 on a pain scale. Participants can expect to undergo imaging tests and share their pain experiences. It's important to note that the study is not yet recruiting, so there may be some waiting involved before it begins.
