ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how well surgery works for people with fractures of the fibula, the small bone on the outside of the ankle. Researchers will gather information from patients who had surgery to fix their fibula fractures between January 2019 and January 2024. They will review medical records and X-rays taken before and after surgery to see how well the bone healed. Patients will also be asked to fill out questionnaires a year after their surgery to share their experiences and outcomes.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 18 and 90 years old and have had a surgical procedure to fix a fibula fracture using a special plate. It's important that you can understand the study and give your consent to join. If you're interested, you'll receive follow-up care and may be contacted for additional information about your recovery. This trial aims to improve our understanding of how these fractures heal and what factors might affect recovery.
